The Colorado chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier granted $4,500 in scholarships this year.

Culinary Creative Group Scholarship Winner

Anna Woolslager is a candidate for a Master of Science degree in the Nutrition and Dietetics program at Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA and has chosen this degree as it combines two of her passions, food culture and cooking and nutritional health. She was inspired her fathers journey through chronic kidney disease and says that “to my surprise, my father’s diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and new lifestyle opened my eyes to the field of nutrition and motivated me to pursue this career path”. Her long term goal is to establish her own practice working with those looking to make essential behavior changes in managing their health, incorporating her certification as a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor to help others reach their health goals.

$1,000 Scholarship Winners

Emily Hogsett is attending Colorado State University where she is majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. She maintains a 3.8 GPA and was a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) as a freshman in high school. With her degree she “ hope(s) to teach in a rural area that may not get an FCS teacher normally. After teaching for a few years, I hope to get a Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. As my career progresses, I may consider moving to college education in the areas of Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Development or Education. Through this path, I could make an impact on students who are wanting to follow their dreams while pursuing higher education”.

Juliette Lanterri is currently enrolled in the Hospitality Management program at the University of Denver where she maintains a GPA of 4.0. Being raised in her parents’ restaurant she has always found herself most comfortable in the back of the kitchen. As she grew, she realized that she belongs in the hospitality industry and “loves everything that came with working in the restaurant. Serving guests, creating memorable experiences, the rush of dinner service, the bonds created with all the other employees and the rewards that came with my hard work”. She hopes to work for some of the most avant-garde and highly rated hospitality industry establishments.
